 Junior Golfers
Junior golfers are 17 years of age and under. Our junior golf programs are designed to help all juniors to learn rules, etiquette, swing fundamentals, respect for the course and the game.
Annual Junior Club Membership
(price $20.00)
Junior members receive discount green fees ($10.00) during the weekdays, excluding holidays. The membership also entitles the junior to 10% off merchandise (excluding Ping) in the golf shop.
Free Junior Golf Lessons
We supply everything the juniors need, including golf clubs and practice golf balls. There is no need to sign up in advance. Just show up and enjoy the class. Each class has two instructors and about 20 students. We instruct the fundamentals of the golf swing, rules, etiquette, chipping putting, and bunker shots. Range balls are included and golf clubs are provided if needed.

Next Step Junior Golf Clinics
The next step junior golf clinics are classes intended for beginners and intermediate golfers ready to take the next step towards becoming great golfers. Each class focuses on specific aspects of the game of golf. The small group format will insure that each junior golfer has enough time with a professional to see the improvement they desire. The classes cover putting, pitching, sand, irons and woods. The price is $30.00 per student per class. Juniors can sign up for the complete series for $120.00 and save $30.00.

Pruneridge Golf Club Junior Camp 2010
Every summer we devote time to junior golf by offering four-day camps. All aspects of the game are stressed: fundamentals (grip, stance and swing), rules, etiquette, chipping, putting, bunker shots and sportsmanship. Each day the students will practice putting, wedge play, full swing and develop course management on the golf course. Rules and etiquette will also be covered daily. The class will also include lunch each day, a shirt, a visor, rule book, and a special gift and more.
For: Intermediate Juniors Only (Beginners see junior golf school)
- Intermediate - A junior who has had professional instruction, but still needs to improve their fundamental skills.
Space is limited, so its first come, first served! All juniors are also invited to play in our Pruneridge Golf Club's Junior Tournament series. Please ask the golf professionals for a scheduled camp dates and prices.
Junior camp sign up for 2010 starts at 8:00 AM Saturday May 1
The Camps will run from 9am-3pm each day.
(No Junior can Sign up without the completed entry form which includes a parent or guardians signature.)
Ability Level: Intermediate
Cost: $450 per Junior (Ages 8 to 17)
Camp entry includes Instruction by Class "A" PGA professionals, study materials, golf shirt, visor, lunch, practice balls, and green fees each day. Sign up sheets are available in the Pro Shop.

Pruneridge Golf Club's 2010 Junior Tournament Series
The Pruneridge golf club's 2010 junior tournament series will follow the format set by Junior golf Association of Northern California. The main difference in the format is the Pruneridge golf club tournament series will have flights for younger golfers. The tournaments are intended to give the junior golfer a stepping stone to move on to bigger tournaments in the future. The golfers can not have caddies in the tournament but they can have pull carts.
Entry Fee is $35.00 per junior.
The entry fee includes lunch, green fee and prizes.
Age Groups: Boys :( 8 and under) 9 to 11, 12 and 13
Girls: 9 an under, 9 to 11, 12 and 13
Junior Tournament Schedule:
June 5th, July 3rd, August 14th and September 4th.
First tee off time is 2:00 PM
(tee times will be available the Tuesday before the tournament.)
Age flights may be adjusted and combined based on the number of entries.
Junior Equipment
Pruneridge Golf Club offers the club fittings for junior golfers. Juniors need properly fit clubs to help promote good swing fundamentals. Juniors grow so fast it is sometimes necessary to purchase new clubs each year. We have special pricing for junior equipment and the Pruneridge Golf junior members receive a 10% discount.
P.G.A. Professionals
All lessons, programs, academies and camps are taught by P.G.A. Professionals and apprentices.
